Sotirios G. Dimitriadis received his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and his Ph.D. in Industrial Management, from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1985 and 1992, respectively. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Business Administration of the International Hellenic University (at Serres, Greece). He is also an associate lecturer in the Hellenic Open University, Department of Business Administration, as an external partner. Dr Dimitriadis has more than 20 years teaching experience in higher education (in both undergraduate and postgraduate level). His research interests lie in the areas of Operations Management, Production Scheduling, Optimization and Simulation. His work has been published in refereed international scientific journals and conference proceedings. He is the co-author of a book in Operations Management (in Greek). He is also a reviewer for several peer review journals, including International Journal of Production Research, Engineering Optimization and International Journal of Decision Sciences Risk and Management. He has in the past worked as Industrial Management Consultant for multinational and domestic companies and has served as a member of research project teams in the Greek Public Sector.
